Johsz was recently appointed to fill the vacancy on the Chino Valley Fire District when Ray Marquez was elected to the Chino Hills City Council this past March. Johsz hopes to maintain his position as director of the Chino Valley Fire District in an Aug. 27 consolidated, mail-in ballot election.

“The Chino Valley Fire District Board is responsible for the oversight and protection of our members’ properties,” said Kelly Vickers, chairwoman of CAA-AAGIE’s Government Affairs Committee. “Mr. Johsz has a track record within the community — and the understanding of the office he seeks — to best meet the needs of our members and the community as a whole.”

The Chino Valley Independent Fire District is in southwest San Bernardino County and consists of about 80 square miles, including the cities of Chino, Chino Hills and unincorporated areas. It borders Orange, Los Angeles and Riverside counties. The Fire District serves an estimated population of 172,942 people.

“CAA-AAGIE is proud to support Mr. Johsz’s campaign and looks forward to expanding its government-relations efforts throughout the region during the 2014 election cycle,” said Tim Johnson, executive director for CAA-AAGIE. “Our organization is responsible for protecting the interest of our members and ensuring they have a voice when it comes to local policies that impact their investments.”
