CAA-AAGIE appoints new chairwoman, Executive Committee, board members

In November, the CAA-AAGIE Advisory Board unanimously approved the incoming leadership for 2014.

Jennifer Bedford from Western National Property Management was appointed as chairwoman, Kelly Vickers from Sares-Regis Group as chairwoman-elect, Mark Yepez from BRE Properties as treasurer, Bob Wilson from Bluestar Properties as secretary, and Melanie Francis from For Rent Media Solutions as immediate past chairwoman.

Bedford joined Western National Property Management in 2001 and is currently a regional manager. She is responsible for communities in the Orange County and Inland Empire submarkets, encompassing approximately 1,600 units, including several lease-up developments. Bedford is a licensed real estate saleswoman in California and has more than 10 years of experience in the real estate industry. As of 2010, she began her tenure on the CAA-AAGIE Advisory Board.

“CAA-AAGIE continues to evolve, and we need to ensure members receive the services necessary to remain competitive in today’s business climate,” Bedford said. “I look forward to working with the Executive Committee and the Advisory Board to continue to provide greater opportunities by restructuring programs and events to enhance value for members and industry partners.”

Angel Rogers, who was slated to be chairwoman, accepted another leadership role within CAA that will help modernize and streamline educational programing and training throughout Southern California. Rogers will continue to remain an active board member for CAA-AAGIE.

“I am honored and excited to be in the position to serve the CAA membership on a much larger scale in an area that I am so passionate about,” Rogers said. “We are finalizing the 2014 Educational Calendar, and members should stay tuned for the exciting and expanded opportunities.”

In addition, the following were appointed to the CAA-AAGIE Advisory Board: Tracy Thomas, chief operating officer of National CORE; Dan Nackerman, CEO and president of the Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino; and Jeff DePrez, vice president of operation for GPG Property Management.

“The credentials of the new board members confirm that CAA-AAGIE continues to move in the right direction in serving its members,” Bedford said. “Their insight and experience will complement the industry leaders already represented on the Advisory Board.”
