The California Apartment Association Greater Inland Empire’s first Moreno Valley town hall reception featured City Councilman Jeff Giba and other city leaders.

The event, held at Cannon Management’s Overlook at Rancho Belago property, provided a unique opportunity  for CAA members to meet Giba and key members of city staff, including the assistant fire marshal and economic development director.

Giba shared his goals for Moreno Valley and ways the rental housing industry and city can collaborate to improve the quality of life for residents.

“This was the first time our members met one-on-one with a Moreno Valley policymaker and staff to share how multifamily communities are true partners with the city, providing safe places for residents to live,” said Tim Johnson, executive director for CAA Greater Inland Empire.

Rental property provides homes to more than 80,000  Moreno Valley residents and represents nearly 40 percent of the city’s housing stock, from multifamily communities to single family homes. CAA members are key partners with the city, who take care of residents in providing high-quality housing, as well as monitoring surrounding neighborhoods to make them safer and cleaner.

“I enjoyed meeting Moreno Valley’s councilmember Jeff Giba and the assistant fire marshal,” said Isidra Clark, director of property management for Cannon Management, adding, “It’s important for officials to know the individuals who take care of the rental communities in their city.”

CAA members in attendance included Western National, Sares-Regis, Cannon Management and Alliance Residential Company.

CAA Greater Inland Empire wishes to thank Cannon Management for providing the location, food and refreshments for the reception.
