CAA property management webinars return

After a successful debut this past spring, the California Apartment Association’s property management webinar series returns this summer to a computer near you.

The upcoming slate of online courses is from July 15 through Sept. 25.

The inaugural webinar series, which ran from March through May, attracted students from Ukiah to Oxnard. Comments from students underscore the quality – and convenience — of CAA’s distance-learning program.

“Many students said this was the only way they could attend classes,” said Jim Lofgren, executive director of the Rental Housing Association of Sacramento Valley, a chapter of CAA. “Some would have needed to drive over an hour to get to the nearest classroom.”

Each of the series’ nine courses is divided into a pair of 90-minute segments, and students must participate in both sessions to complete a course.

Property owners and managers can assign employees to take specific classes or the series in its entirety, qualifying them for a California Certified Property Managers (CCRM) certificate.

CAA’s property management series imparts the knowledge that rental housing professionals need to perform at their best and comply with California’s ever-changing laws.

The courses will be webcast from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. This allows property management staff can take the classes in the office and during normal working hours.

Likewise, students wanting to advance their careers can learn new skills by either taking a single course or a combination of online sessions to suit their individual needs.

In the end, CAA’s property management webinar series offers students a modern, convenient way to advance their careers by engaging with top-notch teachers from the property management field.

“Students are very pleased with the quality of the course content and instructors,” Lofgren said. “They love the convenience of taking courses from their office or home.”
