Cork & Sand: Network while nurturing CAA’s political action
Enjoy an evening of fine wines, gourmet food and exceptional networking – all while supporting the California Apartment Association’s government affairs efforts in Los Angeles.
Cork & Sand is the annual fundraiser in L.A. benefitting CAA’s Political Action Committee. CAAPAC, along with CAA Los Angeles, works to create a positive business climate for the rental housing industry in the region.
This year’s Cork & Sand event comes at a crucial period for Los Angeles policymakers and rental property owners.
CAAPAC also supplements CAA’s government affairs program by making contributions to state and local candidates who recognize the importance of the continued growth of the rental housing industry and its positive influence on L.A.’s economy.
This year’s Cork & Sand event, April 16 at Santa Monica’s beautiful Annenberg Community Beach House, comes at a crucial period for Los Angeles policymakers and rental property owners.
The Los Angeles City Council is now considering Mayor Eric Garcetti’s mandatory seismic retrofitting plan. The proposal would give the owners of pre-1980, soft-story apartment just five years to comply with retrofitting.
CAA L.A. is working to expand that time frame for owners – mainly mom-and-pop businesses – and to relieve some of the financial burden on owners needing to retrofit.
You can do your part in helping Los Angeles’ rental housing industry by attending Cork & Sand – and have a great evening with L.A.’s top rental housing professionals
