Interaction between the City of Los Angeles Eviction Moratorium and the State COVID-19 Tenant Relief Act (CTRA)

Effective August 31, 2020, CTRA provides protections against eviction to residents throughout California.  The City of Los Angeles, like many localities, already had its own eviction moratorium to prevent evictions during the COVID-19 pandemic. This Q&A addresses the interaction of the two laws.
