Thirty-Day Notice of Change of Monthly Rent (Properties Subject to AB 1482 Rent Caps)
This form contains the essential legal terminology needed when you wish to increase the rent for a month-to-month tenancy for a rental unit that is subject to AB 1482 Rent Caps. Effective January 1, 2020, AB 1482 prohibits an owner from, over the course of a 12-month period, increasing the gross rental rate for a rental unit more than 5% plus the percentage change in the cost of living (CPI), or 10%, whichever is less, of the lowest gross rental rate charged for that unit at any time during the 12 months prior to the effective date of the increase.
