Three-Day Notices – What type of notice does an owner have to give to a resident who has not paid rent?

When a resident fails to pay rent, an owner can serve a Three-Day Notice to Pay Rent or Quit (Form CA-230). Owner’s should be sure to read and follow the instructions attached with that form. A different Three-Day Notice to Pay may be required if the unit is subject to a local just cause ordinance.
