San Jose business tax deadline extended for residential landlords

March 15, 2018

The city of San Jose has given residential landlords more time to register their properties with the city and to pay the related business tax, a move applauded by the California Apartment Association.

The new deadline for residential rental property owners is June 30, 2018. After that date, interest and late fees will apply. Businesses can register with the city here.

I recently needed to take a few hours of classes to complete my Recertification as a CAA California Certified Residential Manager. I found it very convenient to do this through on demand classes at my office. The classes are well done and gave great education to further my property management skills.
