To help rental housing professionals prepare for the new year, the California Apartment Association has updated its rental forms and instruction sheets. The association also published new forms for members to use to comply with the COVID-19 Tenant Relief Act’s (CTRA) 15-Day Notice requirement and to be used when terminating a tenancy because the owner needs to move into the unit, or is going out of the rental housing business. The Pet Addendum (Form CA-080) is one of CAA’s most popular forms. It allows the landlord to grant permission for a tenant to have a pet, when pets are prohibited by the rental agreement. The addendum requires the specific pet to be identified.
