Rental property owners and industry partners gathered last month for an annual CAA celebration that helps secure housing for Orange County families.
On May 24, more than 400 attendees gathered for the fifth annual CAA Orange County Charity Gala. The casino-themed event, held at the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach, provided an evening of good food and fun — all for a good cause.
The evening benefited Families Forward, which helps families achieve self-sufficiency through housing, food, counseling, career coaching, education, and other support services.

The California Apartment Association’s Orange County Division has been honored for its work with Families Forward to help end homelessness in the region.
The accolades came April 28 at the 2018 Spirit of Volunteerism Awards. CAA Orange County had been nominated for the award by Families Forward.
Matt Buck, vice president of public affairs for CAA Orange County, attended the ceremony.
“It was an amazing experience to have CAA recognized at Orange County’s largest event celebrating businesses and individuals who partner with nonprofits,” Buck said.

The California Apartment Association’s Orange County Division has been nominated by Families Forward for the 2018 Giving is Living Award.
