CAA bolsters public affairs and compliance teams with three crucial hires

The California Apartment Association has expanded its public affairs and compliance staff to better protect the rental housing industry from legislative threats and to help members navigate a growing number of complicated laws and regulations. Anaheim council rejects costly requirement for new high-rises

June 8, 2017

On a 5-1 vote, the Anaheim City Council on Tuesday rejected a proposal that would have required the installation of expensive firefighting equipment in new high-rises, including multifamily housing. The proposal called for firefighter air-replenishment systems in new buildings taller than 75 feet. Such systems are designed to provide rapid air-refilling capabilities to firefighters’ breathing tanks, however, there is no guarantee that the devices make buildings any safer.

I recently needed to take a few hours of classes to complete my Recertification as a CAA California Certified Residential Manager. I found it very convenient to do this through on demand classes at my office. The classes are well done and gave great education to further my property management skills. I even registered my maintenance team to listen to some of the classes. It benefitted us all. Thank you CAA!
