Enjoying an Old World Wines theme, more than 150 attendees of this year’s CORK & SAND event got to sip wine from Italy, France and Spain while gazing at the Pacific Ocean on a beautiful evening in Santa Monica.
It all happened April 16 at the Annenberg Beach House, where the California Apartment Association held its annual fundraiser for CAA LA’s Political Action Committee.
The committee helps CAA elect business-friendly officials who understand the importance of the rental housing industry to L.A.’s economy.

SANTA CLARA – In the face of California’s lingering dry spell, a panel of multifamily executives this week shared ideas for water conservation within rental communities.
“It needs to be a multipronged approach,” said Jeff Bosshard, president of multifamily operations for Woodmont Real Estate Services. “There isn’t going to be one, simple answer.”

Twenty-seven local industry partners showcased their products and services at the March 24 event. The vendors — from carpet cleaners to advertising companies to security services — revealed how their offerings can save owners money while making their businesses more efficient.
Guest speaker Angel Rogers from S.T.A.R. (Specialized Training by Angel Rogers) provided an in-depth overview of marketing, leasing and customer service. Rogers covered trends in staffing, review sites, social media and the hottest colors trends for 2015.
